Over the past 80+ years, there have been many great videos and photos taken of the Fort Henry Guard.  We are constantly gathering footage from archives, publications, and from former Guard, and welcome your submissions.

Official Opening of Fort Henry

On August 1, 1938, the Rt. Hon. William Lyon MacKenzie King officially opened Fort Henry as an historic site.  Listen to the CBC Radio broadcast of the Prime Minister’s speech, and watch a rare home movie from that memorable day.

The Fort Henry Guard and the United States Marine Corps

For more than 50 years, the Guard and the USMC have performed together and developed a unique bond.  Watch archival videos of the Marines’ historic first visit to Fort Henry in 1954, and the Guard’s first performances in Washington, D.C. in 1955.

Bravo Series from 1997

In 1997, a film crew visited Fort Henry to record several short videos that aired on Bravo Television.  The series includes short sequences by the Drums and the Squad, and the firing of both a 24-pounder and a 6-pound Armstrong Gun.
