Bereavement – Richard Wilder

We are saddened by the news that Richard Wilder, FHG 625, passed away on August 10, 2020 at the age of 76.  After a long and successful career in medicine, he had spent the last 10 years dividing his time between Florida and Howe Island.

Nice to know other people think about Fort Henry regularly, too. Although that particular subject is not covered in the usual guided tour...

A thing I think about weirdly a lot: how at Fort Henry, even lower-ranking soldiers were allowed to bring their families along, and in the sleeping quarters the children had to sleep under their parents’ cots and anyway I bet those kids saw a lot
